Dear Friend,
The Norfolk Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization, providing 24/7 emergency
coverage and responding to more than 215 calls for service each year.
Your generosity, year after year, makes that possible. Because of your continued support, we
have been able to fund important projects, invest in training, and maintain the equipment
needed to keep both our volunteers and the public safe. This year, we are raising funds to help
replace our 1995 pumper truck. While it has served Norfolk well, updating our fleet ensures we
can respond safely and efficiently.
Modern equipment also helps keep the town’s property insurance costs low, benefiting residents
and businesses alike. All donations from this appeal go directly into our Vehicle Replacement
Fund, and every contribution helps move us closer to this important goal.
Since our last letter, construction has officially begun on the new Norfolk Fire Department
Headquarters—an exciting milestone, even as we continue operating at full capacity within an
active construction site. We have also proudly celebrated the graduation of another member
certified as an interior firefighter, a reminder that volunteer service, training, and community
support go hand in hand.
As always, we are looking for new volunteers to join our ranks. Whether responding to
emergencies or helping with administrative and support tasks, there is a role for anyone willing
to help their community.
Any amount you can donate is deeply appreciated. The Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department is a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
