Due to a bridge closure on Mountain Road, this year’s race course has been modified. This scenic 5-mile road race will now start and finish at the Village Green in the center of town and will follow an out-and-back route down Litchfield Road (RT272). Runners will head south toward Dennis Hill, loop near the Dennis Hill State Park entrance, and return to the Village Green.

Parking is available at Norfolk Town Hall (19 Maple Ave), along John Curtiss Road in the town center, and at the Norfolk Ball Field at 50 Mountain Road (accessible from the Route 272 side only).

This Memorial Day tradition, known as the William F. Kelley Memorial Road Race, is the sole fundraiser for the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department’s college and higher-education scholarship program, with all proceeds supporting Norfolk students.

Bib and shirt pickup will take place at the Village Green from 10:15–11:45 AM on race day, or the evening before on Sunday from 5:00–7:00 PM also on the Village Green. Please note that there will be no race-day registration.

Donations to the scholarship program are welcome and can be made through the registration link by selecting the “Donate” option in the upper right corner. Thank you for your support.

To provide a safer and more enjoyable experience, the walking division will begin at 11:30 AM (untimed). Walkers should plan to be at the start line by 11:30 AM.

Food will be available from CJ’s Hot Dogs at the Village Green from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM.
